Buy

Buying in Chicago, building by building.

A listing shows you the photos and the square footage. My job is to help you understand the rest: the building, the association, the block, and whether the home fits the next several years of your life.

How we'll work together

Every search is different, but most follow these four stages.

  1. Clarify

We talk through budget, timeline, must-haves and the neighborhoods worth considering. If you haven't yet, this is the time to talk with a lender about pre-approval.

  2. Search

We tour homes that fit, and I'll tell you what I see, including the reasons a home might not be right for you.

  3. Evaluate

Before an offer, we look at recent comparable sales and, for a condo, the association's documents. Both shape what the home is worth to you.

  4. Offer and close

I'll negotiate on your behalf and keep the process on track through attorney review, inspection, financing and closing.

First-time buyers

Your first purchase comes with more questions. That's expected.

I run a first-time homebuyer workshop that walks through the whole process, from pre-approval to closing. Ask me about the next session, or we can go through it one-on-one.

A neighborhood, a building, a budget or just a question. We can start wherever you are.
