The neighborhood
Edgewater runs along the lake north of Foster Avenue. Its eastern side is lined with high-rises and co-ops along Sheridan Road, where Lake Shore Drive comes to an end.
To the west is Andersonville, a lively stretch of Clark Street with Swedish roots, independent shops and restaurants. In between are some of the city's quietest blocks of large single-family homes.
